Goodwill's Work Adjustment Training program (WAT) seeks to build work skills and experience for individuals with barriers to employment, including returning citizens (former felons), limited English speakers, dislocated workers and individuals with disabilities. WAT contributes to the income of participants not only during training through paid work time but also through the increased potential for improved employment outcomes after completion. WAT also provides a Career Center and Computer Lab for participants and anyone from the general public with barriers to employment or education. The Goodwill Career Center and Computer Lab can be reached at (434) 792-2511 ext. 224, to find out how to get started.
