The Free Clinic of Danville is a source of primary health care services for low income, uninsured adults living in the Danville/Pittsylvania County area. The Scoutreach Outdoor Education and Career programs are Dan River District, Blue Ridge Mountains Council, and Boy Scouts of America's commitment to making sure that all young people have an opportunity to participate in Scouting's Comprehensive Youth Development Program regardless of socio-economic circumstances, neighborhood or ethnic background. This initiative from Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts meets the developmental needs of youth in Danville and Pittsylvania County through a well-defined program based on values, learning by doing, fun and positive role models. The Danville Family YMCA After-School and Summer Camp teach the core values of the YMCA - Youth Development, Social Responsibility and Healthy Living.
