Prevention Services Division
Under the supervision of the Prevention Services Program Manager, the Coalition Coordinator will coordinate the activities of community coalition(s), assist in the development of strategic plan, serve as liaison between Community Services Board and the coalition(s) and other community organizations, represent and promote Prevention throughout the region, perform administrative duties for the coalition, complete reports, and present at community events, disseminate information. Become train the trainer in various prevention intervention strategies such as, but not limited to: Adverse Childhood Experiences Interface (ACE), Mental Health First Aid – Youth and Adult, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), REVIVE! Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education for Virginia. Mentor/assist in training newly hired Prevention Specialist staff
M1: Bachelor’s Degree in community planning and development, marketing, public health, or human services field
M2: Must have a valid driver’s license.
M3: Flexible schedule with some nights and weekend work
P1: Experience in community assessment and strategic planning
P2: Experience in capacity building
P3: Experience in Coalition recruitment and retention
P4: Experience in Public Speaking/Training
P5: One year experience working in prevention related field
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be
required upon request.
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE
$34,252 - $53,948 Excellent fringe benefits.
